SMS Messaging Program

Last updated: August 20, 2026

Stout Intel Agency sends text messages to its own clients about their accounts and projects. This page describes the program in full: what we send, how a client joins, how to leave, and what we do with the data. Messages are sent from (801) 316-8544.

This is business-to-customer messaging to an opt-in client list. We do not send marketing texts to anyone who is not already a client, and we never message a number that has not completed the opt-in flow below.

What We Send

  • Message replies. When Logan replies in your client portal message thread, you get a text so you know to check it.
  • Invoice and payment notices. When an invoice is issued or a payment is recorded on your account.
  • Booking confirmations. When a strategy session is confirmed, rescheduled, or cancelled.
  • Service and feature updates. Occasional announcements about new portal features and services available to clients.

How Clients Opt In

Opt-in happens inside the authenticated client portal, so it is not publicly reachable. The exact flow is reproduced here in full:

  1. 01Sign in to the client portal. Only existing Stout Intel clients have portal accounts. There is no public sign-up form that collects phone numbers for messaging.
  2. 02Add a mobile number. The client enters their own mobile number in the profile form at /portal/profile and saves it. No number is imported, purchased, or entered on a client’s behalf.
  3. 03Turn on SMS alerts. The client flips the “SMS alerts” toggle. The toggle does not enable messaging on its own.
  4. 04Read and accept the disclosure. A confirmation dialog appears containing the consent language quoted below. The client must tap “I agree, text me” to finish. We store the timestamp and the exact wording accepted as the consent record.

The Same Flow, As Screenshots

Because the opt-in screens sit behind a client login, they are reproduced below exactly as a client sees them. These captures use a sample account and a sample number; the disclosure text shown in step 4 is byte-identical to the consent language quoted on this page.

Step 1 — Client signs in to the Stout Intel portal

Step 4 — The consent disclosure the client must accept

After consent — SMS alerts active, opt-out available anytime

The Exact Consent Language

This is the disclosure shown in the portal, word for word. A client must accept it before any message is sent, and we store this text alongside the acceptance timestamp on their account record.

“I agree to receive text messages from Stout Intel Agency about my projects and account, including replies from Logan, invoice and booking notices, and occasional updates about new features and services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See the Privacy Policy for how this data is handled.”

Frequency, Cost, and Opting Out

Message frequency varies with activity on your account. Message and data rates may apply; Stout Intel does not charge for messages, but your carrier's standard rates do. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing anything from us.

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately. You will get one confirmation and nothing after that. Reply START to rejoin, or HELP for assistance. You can also turn SMS alerts off in your portal profile at any time, which takes effect right away and is recorded.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your Mobile Data

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS consent records are used solely to deliver the messages described on this page.

We share data with our messaging carrier only as required to transmit your messages. Text message content is never used to train AI models. We do not sell, rent, or trade phone numbers.
